While I would love to “sleep in”, drive to a gym, workout for an hour, take my time meditating and stretching, that is just not my current reality.
Getting a workout in doesn’t have to be stressful. In fact, it’s the cheapest easiest stress relief I know!
In medical school I let my fitness slide. And looking back I had way more time and was more sedentary because I was studying a lot. I gained 15 lbs during medical school ?
Getting some endorphins in and moving my body have been key to keeping me sane during these months of isolation.
Today I missed my window for a morning workout (“slept in” during staycation). I found a way to move while entertaining my toddler and while the baby napped. I used an app for my workout, a yoga mat and headphones while my toddler pretended to do yoga in her bounce house ?
What works for me may not work for you and that’s okay!
